Indoor growing used to require serious equipment and space. Today, thanks to compact smart cabinets, you can grow fresh tomatoes, basil or lettuce in a 35×35 cm footprint.
Which method to choose?
There are two main methods: soil-based and hydroponic.
- Soil-based is simpler for beginners. You use standard potting mix and watering is more forgiving. GrowlyBox supports both.
- Hydroponic offers faster growth (30–50% quicker) but requires a nutrient solution mix.
Recommended starter plants
Lettuce and basil are the easiest to grow indoors. Short growth cycle (30–45 days), moderate light needs. Tomatoes and peppers need a bit more patience but the harvest satisfaction is much greater.
Light and photoperiod
Plants need darkness as much as light to grow well. GrowlyBox's fully sealed door manages a 12–18 hour photoperiod cycle without affecting your room lighting.
First step
Set up the cabinet, pick your plant profile in the GrowlyBox app and follow the app's guidance. Sensors automatically monitor temperature, humidity and soil conditions.
