Growing Peppers Indoors: Hot and Sweet Varieties

Pepper plants are among the rare vegetables that can live indoors for years, producing fruit every season. With proper care in GrowlyBox, you can harvest regularly for 2–3 years.

Best varieties: Cayenne (compact, prolific), Jalapeño (medium heat), Mini Bell Pepper (sweet, colorful), Habanero (very hot, compact), Purple Salsa (ornamental).

Light needs: Peppers require the most light of all common vegetables — 14–16 hours, temperature 22–28°C.

Pollination: Hand-pollinate every 2 days during flowering, same as tomatoes.

Overwintering: Reduce light to 10 hours and water less in winter. Resume normal care in spring for a stronger new season.
